The purpose of this document is to outline concept renders for the the Gang Of Youths - Splendour in the Grass, main stage Floor Lighting Package. Feature below is my vision for our showcase spot. My main aim is to create a specialized and professional show, that uniquely highlights the Gang of Youths sound and dynamic.
Concept v2 Renders
The Heart is a muscle - complete concept render
The video below features my design and concept in action. It is the full song and it is utilizing our floor package. This particular song helps highlight my overall look to our show, and floor package. The vision is for clever usage of chases, predominantly, and a sparing approach to movement. A "White Theme"- where in every song I am using white light as some main feature to the lighting show. All over a base of masterful use of colour dynamics.
Design COMPONENT Renders
This section is designed to display to show a few lighting states that the proposed design is capable of. These looks will be refined when each song is programmed.

base look 2
The above fly through renders feature the Magic Panels. The Magic Panel 602 by Ayrton are the bigger brother of the Ayrton Magic Blade, succesfully used by Steve Grandville, in previous Gang of Youths shows. The specialty of the Magic Panel is the square array of RGB LED cells (36 per unit). These units are perfect for clever pixel mapping effects as seen above. The renders are based on the song "What Can I Do When the Fire Goes Out?"
Don't Let your spirit wane - base look
This look uses the Martin Vipers and the Magic Panels. Again the unique colour patterns, are generated from a pixel mapper.
FIRE GOES OUT - GTR BASE LOOK
This is look is to highlight the fast Guitar sounds in this song. Fast and slow spinning, span gobo changes, beams of dappled and broken light. The Martin Viper profile, provides a wide range of possibilities, great for following the Gang of Youths, guitar sounds.
FEAR AND TREMBLING - BASE LOOK
This look Uses the CS-4 in the design. The bands music calls for the use of warm white light. The CS-4 by Studio Due is a moving bar of 4 beams of warm white light. The beams are move-able, allowing for multiple looks across a show. The overall array of beams is another layer in for clever use of chases.
