Snakadaktal 'sleep in the water tour'

Snakadaktal have had a great year with the release of their new album "Sleep in the Water" and now their show has really stepped up from their last tour.
Designing this string of shows posed a few challenges, the biggest being the need for a tour-able scalable show to meet the needs of Melbourne's iconic Forum theatre right down to some smaller club shows.
The main concepts for the design were much like the last tour with the vision of making each venue our own.
To achieve this we employed the use of scenery in the form of a 9M back drop of art representing the feel of the album. This was front and rear lit to pull various different looks out, giving a sweet visual dynamic to the show.
The show was heavily back lit and smoky and the palette selection was very saturated to match the deep chords and long riffs of the music style.
